Fundraising Events

The Museums and Historical Society present a variety of fundraisers annually. Events range from the family friendly Mercer Museum Folk Fest and Fonthill's Old-Fahioned 4th of July to the elegant Mercer Museum's Savory Sampler and fun Spring Auction.

The Mercer Museum has announced an exciting $10M expansion program to provide expanded exhibition space including a new 3,500 square foot changing exhibits gallery, and a new 1,000 square foot Multi-flex Learning Center; upgraded visitor services and enhanced site development: including welcoming, wayfinding and expanded parking facilities, and an enhanced endowment.

Mercer Museum Auction

Spend a “Night on the Town” at the Mercer Museum Auction and bid on great merchandise, useful services and unique experiences, including vacations and romantic getaways, fine dining, tickets for cultural and sports events, signed sports memorabilia, professional services, artwork, items for children, gift baskets, handcrafts by Mercer Museum Folk Fest artisans, and decorative items for the home and office. Silent and live auctions, along with refreshments and open bar, make this an enjoyable evening for all. Sponsored by Fulton Bank, Biersmith Associates and Bucks County Women’s Journal. Tickets are $45 ($40 BCHS Members). There is a 10% discount on the purchase of 6 or more tickets. Don’t miss out on your chance to win a new BMW at the 24th annual Mercer Legacy Sweepstakes. The winning numbers will be selected at the lawn party. The grand-prize winner will have the difficult choice of selecting between a BMW 128i Coupe from Thompson BMW, Doylestown, or $20,000 in cash. Second and third prizes will also be awarded. Fonthill's Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration

Saturday, July 4
Noon-5 pm, Fonthill Museum

Experience "the good-old days" at an early 20th century July 4th celebration. Festivities include a decorated bike parade, town ball game (19th-century baseball), watermelon eating contest, free old-time games, and picnic foods.  Musical performers are Clarinetwork, Sellersville Merrymakers, Del Val Saxaphone Quartet, autoharp virtuoso, Marti Rogers, and the Bucks County Country Gentleman.  Award-winning children's storyteller and author, Robin Moore, will tell historical tales throughout the day.  Gate tickets: $4 adults, $2 members, $1 youths (5-17), free for children (4 and under).  Free parking.  No dogs are allowed on the grounds.  Heavy rain cancels the event.
