Fundraising Events

The Museums and Historical Society present a variety of fundraisers annually. Events range from the family friendly Mercer Museum Folk Fest and Fonthill's Old-Fahioned 4th of July to the elegant Mercer Museum's Savory Sampler and fun Spring Auction.

Mercer Museum Capital Campaign

The Mercer Museum has announced an exciting $12.5 M expansion program to provide expanded exhibition space including a new 3,500 square foot changing exhibits gallery, and a new 1,000 square foot Multi-flex Learning Center; upgraded visitor services and enhanced site development: including welcoming, wayfinding and expanded parking facilities, and an enhanced endowment.

The 34th annual Savory Sampler, Bucks County’s premier food and wine tasting event featured the best of the area’s culinary treasures coming together for an unforgettable evening.  Guests dined around the museum sampling savory and sweet fare and enjoyed dancing to the sounds of the Where's Pete? band.

Mercer Legacy Sweepstakes

Over 200 guests attended the Mercer Legacy Sweepstakes event, on June 26, sponsored by Thompson BMW.  Guest Susan Abramson won the grand prize and will choose between a BMW 128i from Thompson BMW or $20,000. Helen Anderson won second prize, a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond from Monument Bank, and Clayton Cross won third prize, two tickets to the Mercer Museum’s black-tie gala Savory Sampler on October 14, 2011.

Fonthill's Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration


Tuesday, July 4, 2012 
Noon-5 pm, Fonthill Museum

Join us for a day of entertainment, live music and a host of old-time games that the whole family can participate it.  Try your hand at watermelon eating, the cake walk, tug-o-war, stilt walking, sack races, bucket brigade relays, obstacle course and wheelbarrow races.  See a demonstration of town ball (19th century baseball) and enjoy storytelling by Robin Moore and music by Marti Rogers on dulcimer, The Merrymakers and Galina Brass. The Children's Decorated Bike Parade takes place at 12:30 pm.  No dogs are allowed on the grounds.  Heavy rain cancels event.
