Fonthill Castle's Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration

Experience "the good-old days" at Fonthill’s early 20th century inspired July Fourth Celebration. Festivities include a decorated bike parade, a town ball game (early form of baseball), a watermelon eating contest, free old-time games and live music. Food available.The event kicks off with the Children's Decorated Bike Parade at 12:30 p.m., with judging taking place from 11 a.m.-noon. The contest categories are: Most Patriotic, Most Original, and Most Dynamic. The age groups for the contest categories are 2-4 yrs., 5-8 yrs., and 9-12 yrs. Henry Mercer himself will present the prizes for each category/age group at the conclusion of the Bike Parade.
Gate tickets: $4 adults/$2 members/ $1 youth (ages 5-17)/Free Children (4 and under).
