Join us on the grounds of Fonthill Castle as we celebrate National Kite Month!  Learn to build and fly a kite with award-winning kite expert, Clifford “The Kite Man” Quinn.   Quinn will discuss the history of kiting, and his passion for kites, in a presentation at 1 p.m.   You can bring your own kite  to fly to the event or purchase one for $5 per kite beginning at 12:30 p.m in the tent by Fonthill.

If you reserved a kite online: All payments for kites will be collected on the day of the event and payment can be made by cash or check  (made payable to the Friends of the BCHS).  The 3rd Annual Kite Day is sponsored by the Friends of the Bucks County Historical Society.

There are 44 rooms in Fonthill including 10 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms and 18 fireplaces. Completed in 1910 Fonthill boasted modern conveniences- 2 dumbwaiters, an Otis elevator, an intercom buzzer system and phones to communicate within the house.
