Go on the road with the Friends of the Bucks County Historical Society to Toms River, NJ, for a delightful 11⁄2-hour cruise on the River Lady, a 150-passenger, 85′ authentic reproduction of a paddle wheel riverboat. Cruise takes place rain or shine, since seating is protected from the weather. Please note: our seats are on the upper deck which requires the climbing of 12 steps.
After the cruise, spend the afternoon in Historic Smithville, which began as a simple, one room, stage coach stop. Over the last 60 years, it has blossomed into a wonderful memory-making way to spend a day! Enter any of the 60 shops for a small, hometown business feel. Wander cobblestone walkways and over foot bridges to discover a village that seems as if it were frozen in time with carefully manicured grounds and attention to detail. Eat your lunch in one of the many restaurants.
