Doylestown Walking Tour: Firefighting History

Tours take place at 5:30 pm & 7 pm

Step back in time and enjoy an evening stroll exploring the history of fires, firefighting and emergency responders in Doylestown Borough.  Tour features stops related to Doylestown’s early fire companies and apparatus, as well as structures that have been “lost to the flames.”  The tour concludes with an indoor visit to Doylestown Fire Company’s Shewell Avenue fire station, designed by architect Oscar Martin and built in 1902.  Tours start at the Mercer Museum.  Call 215-348-9461 to register for a tour.
