Jeffrey Miller Catering is the exclusive caterer at the Mercer Museum. Weddings

Our beautiful clear-sided tent can seat up to 150 guests for plated dinner service, May through the end of October. Ceremonies take place outside in our ceremony garden complete with a tiny log house as your backdrop, or in the Elkins Gallery which features two fireplaces. Cocktail hour can be set up outside or in the Central Court of the castle. Dancing, after dinner, takes place in the Great Hall. Use of these spaces allows you and your guests to take full advantage of all the Mercer Museum has to offer and provides the ultimate, unique wedding experience.

The Intimate Mercer Museum Castle and Beautiful Elkins Art Gallery

The beautiful Elkins Gallery, a stately Georgian room displaying the museum’s collection of Bucks County paintings, can be booked for intimate gatherings or large groups up to 100 people. A vintage baby grand piano and two fireplaces with mantels flank the intimate space.

For larger events, the clear-sided tent, that offers views of the castle lit up against the night sky, seats 150 guests and is available May through the end of October. The tent is a beautiful new addition to Mercer, is located in the Courtyard, nestled between the Great Hall and castle.

The Museum’s grounds offer ample space for an al fresco wedding ceremony and unique photo opportunities among the vintage artifacts.  Elkins Gallery special event rentals include time for your guests to visit the Mercer Museum Castle in an intimate and personal way.

Intimate Weddings

The unique Mercer Museum Castle and the Elkins Gallery are available weekdays, non-holiday Sundays and November through March. Many beautiful wedding ceremony sites are available as well, including the prestigious Central Court or an al fresco ceremony on the grounds.

There’s no better party venue for your guests to absorb the unique historic flavor of Bucks County. The Elkins Art Gallery is elegant and beautiful, and the Mercer Museum is rustic and charming, the perfect mix! There are activities for young and old, indoors or outdoors, rain or shine. Consider a unique scavenger hunt competition in the Castle followed by cocktails and dinner.  The Mercer Museum houses treasures of early America in a concrete castle in the heart of Doylestown. The Mercer Museum’s Elkins Gallery and Great Hall are unique settings for your party, wedding, or corporate meetings or events.

Great Hall and Courtyard

The contemporary and unique Great Hall’s glass ceiling allows a breathtaking view of the towering seven-story castle. Intimate evening events are enhanced with the dramatic state-of-the-art lighting rotating in a prism of colors on the historic castle. Self-guided castle tours are included. An impressive location for corporate events, small wedding receptions, and unique wedding ceremonies, The Great Hall can accommodate parties for up to 100 standing or 60 seated. The adjacent Courtyard and Plaza are available weather permitting or may be tented. The Learning Center can also accommodate presentations or meetings. The Great Hall is available after 6 pm.
