Volunteer Judges

National History Day cannot be successful without the contributions of volunteer judges.

Volunteer judges are instrumental in providing feedback for student projects and helping students grow as researchers and budding historians.

Judges read papers, review websites, watch documentaries and performances, and evaluate digital exhibits. The commitment to serve as a judge consists of the following:

  • One virtual judge training on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Evaluating 5-7 student projects on your own time.
  • One two-hour virtual judging session on specific evenings in March.
  • If available, talk with students about their projects in person at Delaware Valley University on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Register to be a judge today and make a difference to students who have spent months working on their National History Day research projects.
