Looking for both adventure and history? Join one of our new Behind the Scenes Tours of Henry Mercer’s Fonthill Castle and explore the site’s tall towers, hidden passageways and “secret rooms” for an unforgettable and immersive historical experience.

This intimate 90-minute special-access tour goes beyond the daily tour route and offers deeper insights into Fonthill Castle’s unique architecture and the lives of its inhabitants.

Please note: This physically strenuous tour involves dark passageways, very steep stairs and narrow, uneven paths. This tour is not appropriate for those with mobility issues, those who have trouble navigating stairs, those who cannot stand for long periods of time, or those with concerns about small spaces/claustrophobia. This tour is only available for those 14 and over. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Parking is in the Fonthill Castle parking lot off of the main site entrance on Swamp Road (Rt. 313). No car access will be available via East Court Street.
