Legacy Gifts Ensure Our Future

Planned Giving
Plus Ultra Society Member John W. Lear

Plus Ultra Society, the Planned Giving Program of the Bucks County Historical Society, honors individuals who have committed to support our institutions through deferred gifts and have informed us of their intentions. “Plus Ultra,” Latin meaning “More Beyond,” became Henry Mercer’s own motto.   Through your bequest or other planned gift, you too can adopt Mercer’s motto and provide “More Beyond” for our National Historic Landmark museums, collections, and programs.

Gifts you can make include:

  • A bequest in your will or living trust,
  • Designating the Bucks County Historical Society as the beneficiary of a 401K or other retirement plan, or life insurance policy,
  • Participating in a life income arrangement such as a Charitable Gift Annuity, a Charitable Remainder Trust and a Charitable Lead Trust.

Gifting options vary so please consult your attorney about your estate and bequest options.

For more information on how you can support the Bucks County Historical Society through a planned gift, or to inform us of your commitment, please contact Candace Clarke at cclarke@mercermuseum.org or 215-345-0210 ext. 129.
