Students who have finished grades 5-10 may choose from two self-pacing course models depending on their experience with LEGO™ Robotics. Prior experience with LEGO Mindstorms™ EV3 and NXT is highly recommended.
Track 1: LEGO Mindstorms™ EV3 Kits offer more sophisticated explorations into robotic construction and icon-based programming. Student construction projects—TRACK3R, R3PTAR, and GRIPP3R—model aspects of robotic devices found in industrial, scientific and commercial settings.
Track 2: Students use LEGO Mindstorms™ EV3 and University-designed Ed Tech materials to enhance their knowledge of the EV3 programming language. They create simple programs, learn steps for debugging, and design and construct their own novel robotic creations. Additional background for “FIRST LEGO LEAGUE” engagement.
